Mr. Surapong Piyachote, Deputy Minister of Transport, revealed the progress of the " Homes for Thai People " project, stating that currently, 350,000 people have registered to join the project, with 140,000 people having passed the qualifications (Pre-Approval) from the Government Housing Bank ( GHB ), while the number of housing units in Phase 1 will be approximately 5,700 units.
However, since the public demand is greater than the housing supply, the government is in the process of setting the criteria for the lottery to grant the rights. The lottery will be conducted through the Government Lottery Office , an agency with expertise and transparency. Initially, the goal is to close the registration in the first phase in mid-March to proceed with the lottery in April 2025.
