BUNGE was founded in 1818 in Amsterdam, Netherlands, as a grain trading company. In its nearly two hundred years of development, it has grown to become an international company with over four hundred factories, warehouses and purchasing centers. BUNGE Limited, which has been operating in Turkey since 2000, recently decided to strengthen its security and warning infrastructure by introducing the Telegrafia warning and notification system.
The system consists of 3 Pavian ® 600 W sirens, 3 BONO ® sirens and 1 OCP 16 ® control panel equipped with the VEKTRA ® Warning application. All devices use a fiber optic communication channel.
The Pavian outdoor sirens were mounted on 4-metre poles on top of the building to ensure the best possible sound propagation. The aim was to design a system that could generate at least 80 dB across the entire factory. Since the factory is located in an agricultural area, the siren horns are protected by a special Horn Protection Cover ® . This equipment prevents birds and bees from nesting inside the horns. Indoor Bono sirens were installed in the production hall. Due to the strong background noise, which is estimated between 78.3 dB and 86.6 dB using the Acusticus Software ® Indoor functionality, the system developers placed the sirens in the most suitable places to be heard.

The system can issue multiple alarms, such as denmark telegram flood or fire alarms, fire drills, test signals or power outages. In addition, thanks to the excellent functions of the OCP16 control module, managers can program automatic announcements of drills according to schedule. Before using Telegrafia equipment, fire drills were announced only through one channel - e-mail. With the new system, more space has been created for flexibility, voice and confidence, which affects all safety drill procedures at the end of the day. Being prepared is already an unspoken advantage.
